Greetings from lovely, lovely Colorado! Where every single view is pretty much breath-taking (hence my stealing from French Kiss for my subject line *g*). I'm having the best time in the whole world visiting with my two sisters. It reminds me so strongly of our childhood summers in Canada, nature and family and long laugh-filled chats around the dinner table. The other day, after putting my little niece to bed, my sister broke out some ice cream treats. Which confirms it!! Every time the adults sent us to bed it meant they were up to something fun and cool and guaranteed to give us joy. Grownups do suck. ;P
Here's an irony: I expected no internet connecting issues at my tech-loving sister's house. ( But there's no wireless! )
And now it's time for cute pet stories! Otherwise known as ( Bandit the Cat meets Fanny the Bulldog )
Next up, ( cute niece stories! :D )
Another irony: When we visited Seattle they had a record breaking sunny-streak. Here in "sunny Colorado" they're getting an unusual amount of rain. It's the greenest I've ever seen it. Frankly, I'm loving it. :)
And now to answer those Top Five Meme questions you all asked (I apologize for the delay):
( Top 5 things you would say to a specific fictional character if you could. )
( Top five things you really liked in SGA... )
( ...and the top five you would have seriously changed/done differently in SGA. )
( YOUR top five Top Gear moments! :-D )
( top five moments reading fic and going guh! How is that hot? I didn't know that was hot. )
( Top Five things you can DO to fictional character (different characters please but otherwise yes, you can interpret it as broadly as you like ;) )
( Top five favorite minor SGA characters. )

Important TV thoughts, right here! (Because it's about tv!!!)
Okay, I've been waiting for that magical moment when I'm not tired and I'm not busy to write up my "Battlestar Galactica: Final Thoughts" post... and it ain't happening. So this is the down and dirty version.
First, I shall sum up: Liked it with a side of grumbling "meh". And now, ( to the spoiler specific )
Oh! By watching BSG I got to see the very first SGU ad! I have to admit, I'm excited for it. :)
I also watched "Dollhouse"! :D I'm actually kind of loving this show. I know, I know, I shouldn't. There's so much that's icky to it. ( But this last episode, Man on the Street... )
Wow. So I was a little wordy. (But it's television! You have to be wordy about television!)

I've been meaning to post this thing for days... so I'm a wee bit behind, but for what it's worth, TV thoughts:
Leverage: Had its season finale a couple of days ago. I have to say, the show's won me over. (It's coming back for a second season and I'm pleased.) You can't think too hard about the actual heists (the holes, they are there). But if you go in to have fun and enjoy yourself, the show totally delivers. Also, it's the most femslashy show I've seen in a while. I mean, the entire team is a very cool thing ( spoilers for this week and last, because I'm paranoid )
Battlestar: They lay the symbolism on a bit thick at times, and while I likes me a bit of symbolism, are we really supposed to think ( aaaand spoilers. for last week. )
Dollhouse: It's still disturbing and, for me, it's still managing to walk the tightrope. ( spoilers for last week )

Tired from work, etc. But I did watch some tv last night. So, conclusions on the quick. :)
Sarah Conner Chronicles: No spoilers in this. Second ep I've watched, and I'm not impressed. I like Sarah herself, I like the Terminator played by Summer Glau, I'm even mostly okay with the Reese brother played by the guy from 90210 fame. But the guy playing John Conner just doesn't work for me. He doesn't strike me as a leader (future or otherwise). And, since he's the driving motivator behind everyone in the show it's a pretty big problem. Plus, some of the lines were OTT and set chewing occurred more than once. So I think I'll give this one a pass from now on.
Dollhouse: I flitted through my f-list (and took
liviapenn's poll, and made a comment *g*) and... wow! I'm pretty much all my lonesome on this, but I liked it. ( spoilers )
So yeah, dark. But, I've always liked dark. :)
I'm not going to fall in love with it. I've already heard cancellation rumors (though I've also heard the ratings were decent), and it is FOX and it is Whedon... But I'm tuning in next week.
Battlestar Galactica: I enjoyed it. It was pretty much one big info dump, but it was interesting info and it was well delivered. I'm still waiting for the ending before I pass judgment on its overall quality. But so far it's keeping me watching. :)

I had a sudden realization: In last week's Sanctuary there were three sisters (oh, this isn't a deep realization...), and the main one I didn't recognize at all. The one who barely spoke, with the curly hair, was from The Brotherhood in s1 of SGA (the one who betrayed our team to the Genii, the hussy). And the last sister, with the straight hair and big eyes who spoke a tiny bit more? So. FAMILIAR! But from where? And then it hit me... She's Racetrack! From BSG! The one who has a crush on Helo (though really, who doesn't have a crush on Helo?).
The cool thing? This means I can play "spot the BSG players", too! (Dee is another, and of course Henry is that magical actor who's been in both...)
On a sad note, I spotted Billy of BSG fame on *gulp* Knight Rider. I'm sure Laura Roslin will support me in saying, "Oh, Billy..."
And finally, on a geeky fangirl note, I've decided that Rodney is pretty much the opposite of a food snob. I'm betting he loves chain restaurants where he can look up all their ingredients on-line and he's never, never surprised.

My husband's reaction: Damn. This show doesn't do things halfway.
My reaction: TWO WEEKS!??!

I have three thoughts:

Bored, bored, bored, bored, bored. So! Here's what's going through my mind at this. exact. moment. (I've broken it down for spoiler worries which is ridiculous but, I'm paranoid. :)
I did google some stuff. So I guess I lied. Sort of.
